Corner Installation Video
Is your Tech Team curious on how to install in corners? Watch the video below:
Some tips on installing in corners:
-
IMPORTANT: Ensure the top of the tape is securely adhered in the corner to protect against moisture intrusion from above.
-
Ensure both the floor & wall are clean & dry.
-
Pull out at least 8 inches of tape on either side of the corner. This will give you more flexibility and make applying the tape at the corner easier.
-
Align the bottom of the blue section of tape with the flooring leading into the corner and press firmly. Do not adhere the upper part to the wall yet.
-
Depress the tape into the expansion space making a "valley" which allows for flooring expansion.
-
IMPORTANT: Make sure that valley follows right into and out of the corner at the same depth– while you use your fingernail or a screwdriver to crease the tape fully into the corner.
-
-
Only lightly adhere the 2nd wall (pressing tape against the wall/floor) until you have completed the corner.
-
When the tape is firmly in the corner, and the tape is applied to the floor on either side of the corner, press the overlapping tape in the corner to make a folded flap.
-
Pinch that flap to seal it against moisture.
-
Finally, firmly adhere the tape on both sides of the corner to the floor and the wall.
